Pierre, you did (almost*) everything right with this image. It is well composed. The facial detail is sufficiently sharp to provide a nuanced appearance while retaining a natural and organic feel. Also, your facial expression isn't easily discerned, resulting in a bit of mystery. - - My best always, michael - - - - - - *Perhaps you allowed your chin to be cut off to provide some humor. Regardless, this very minor hiccup doesn't affect the overall quality of the image.

I didn't use the shifting possibility (tilting, pardon) of my camera and didn't know my chin was out, Michael! But I don't find it as a shortcoming! Thank you very much for your nice comment! PDE
