navarra 0 Posted November 30, 2003 I waited and waited hoping for something to happen, but then gave up and got away with this. Simone Link to comment
panayiotis_kyriacou 0 Posted November 30, 2003 It´s a nice photo full of emotion. I think a little bit of croppind on the left would help. Link to comment
peta 0 Posted November 30, 2003 Cool shot, I don't think a crop is necessary...looks well balanced to me. The shadows really make the image. Nice catch! Link to comment
navarra 0 Posted December 1, 2003 I tought about different crops as well, but given the nature of this image it's hard to decide wich one is better. I think this wider view has a more "geometrical" feel to it wich I like. I'll post the B&W version sooner or later, Mr Williams, don't worry :) Thanks for your comments! Simone Link to comment
armindo_lopes 1 Posted December 1, 2003 I like the compsition and the play light and shadow... Regards. Link to comment
jacoangeli 0 Posted December 2, 2003 I like the texture of the "pavé", unfortunatly the floor is not uniform. I think a vertical crop may help (cutting out the left part of the image).Nice. Link to comment
vincetylor 0 Posted December 2, 2003 I too like the how the shadows add a nice element here. The couple are positioned perfectly as well. Nice work! Link to comment
abintraphoto 0 Posted December 3, 2003 I agree with Fab. I think a (b&w) vertical may be the most desireable crop imwo. The main thing I see here Simone, is that you shot the image in such a way to give you many cropping options. Many of your recent uploads have been this way and that is a sign of growth and skill imwo .............. (-; Link to comment
navarra 0 Posted December 3, 2003 I tought about cropping too, but I like the shadow/light contrast. I'll post the cropped version later and see if it gets POW :) The main problem with cropping is that getting "closer" with a crop means losing a lot of detail since 6mpixel may sound a lot (well it doesn't sound a lot to me already :) but 2 mpixel sounds like crap. The same applies to 35mm film I guess, so I never crop more than 1/3 of the full frame. Thanks for all the comments... I usually don't get as many in a month :) And does IMWO stand for...? I got a few interesting versions but they are all too offensive :) Simone Link to comment
abintraphoto 0 Posted December 3, 2003 In my worthless opinion (imwo) ........... (-; And I agree with your thoughts on image quality loss by cropping too much - is about the same with film scans too. Link to comment
