The morning after

Leaving the camp site at Sisteron (southern France), there were still clouds reminding us of the bad weather of the day before, when a summer thunderstorm almost took our tent to pieces. In some southern French cities and villages the weather can be quite extreme, even in summer. Your comments are very welcome.

thank you for commenting on this photo! It's a quiet scene, shot in a thankful mindset for still having a tent to sleep in. The storm of the day before was really heavy and we had to hold on to the tent with all of our force to keep it. Kind regards, Vincent

I can tell that this image was very carefully composed, Vincent. There is nothing out of place with a smooth flow from the grass in front to the sky on the other side. Lot of contrast in the trees created by the side light. Except, except for the tree in the center. You managed to find the perfect tree and capture it in all its grace and beauty. thank you for this very friendly comment! This image has indeed been carefully composed, but that isn't anything spectacular in my opinion. I have cropped it to obtain a wide view, keeping the composition as shot. I struggled a little to come to grips with the bright morning light. Nice to see you noticed the tree in the center.
