michaellinder 16,613 Posted November 5, 2019 Laurent, yesterday, I drafted a somewhat lengthy set of comments, only to discover today that I must not have clicked on the "add comment" button. Memory won;'\'t allow me to reconstruct it. Aside from the majesty of the bridge, I am fascinated by the combination of the rather peaceful water gently lapping onto the shore, the leaves strewn on the beach creating multiple, asymmetrical patterns, and the tree limbs entering the frame from the right edge, hanging over the shoreline and possibly the beach also. The tonality is spot on, and other tech elements fit that description also. Yet, what really drew me in to this image for starters was how artfully you conceived and executed it. A favorite. - - My best, michael Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted November 6, 2019 Michael...Thank you kindly...doubly as you had to re-take your so elegant appreciation. As with all these autumn shots,it is always a struggle(for me) to push that desaturation button and erase the catchy colors present for such a short time but in the end, going B/W shifts the focus onto the scene as you so well highlight;glad you like this enough to merit a spot in your Favorites.Merci et salutations-Laurent Link to comment
DGorinstein 20 Posted November 6, 2019 Cher Laurent: I was drawn into the moment immediately as I saw this wonderful perspective, only to find it was your mastery that produced the perfect, exact focal point for utter perfection in perspective. I guess it is "the usual suspects", i.e. the top photographers in PN....Compressing the bridge as you did from your POV denotes your vast photographic and aesthetic experience and good taste. It is those very fine details...for me anyway....the lonely branch showing the direction of the traveler across this engineering feat of human ingenuity and force of creation. I cannot congratulate you enough, just respectfully bow in silence. DG Link to comment
