As late as october, reeds look as full as they do in summer. On this morning I saw them in morning light and against a mist. Your comments are very welcome.

Light (and shadow) can make all the difference - and your timing (morning light - with dew drops on the weeds) and framing (against the dark sky) work really well here.

Hi Wolfgang,

thank you for your friendly comments! This situation really presented itself- I was on my way with my 400 mm lens to photograph birds when I saw this and decided it could be shot very well with a tele lens. The background isn't sky by the way, it's vegetation with mist in front of it. Kind regards, Vincent

I like the angle of this shot, Vincent. Very nice colors and light with a perfect composition. Best regards, Paul.

Hi Paul and Dana,

when I passed these reeds, I had no intention whatsoever to photograph them. The way they stood out against the morning mist was convincing enough to make a photo anyway. Thank you for your wonderful comments! Kind regards, Vincent
