Jack McRitchie 150 Posted June 9, 2019 You're really good at this type of picture which always seems to dig a bit under the surface to the shadowy land of the archetype. This one and it's accompanying twin also ably illustrate the old saying that even a stopped clock is right two times a day. Link to comment
tai 3 Posted June 10, 2019 Elegant image, Daniel! Beautiful composition, color, details ... Light and shadows bend space. This picture is perceived as an original artistic interpretation of the curvature of "space-time". Bravo! Sincerely, Tatiana Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted June 10, 2019 Hi Daniel, the time on this extraordinary clock presumes you were in a restaurant when shooting this. The photo has an intimacy that isn't common outside. I like the light and the atmosphere. 22:08 h must have been special! Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
DGorinstein 20 Posted June 11, 2019 Hello Jack, Tatiana and Vincent. I humbly thank you, however effusively for your kind comments and for taking the time to look at my photos. I do not take this for grated one bit. Yes Vincent, well perceived, it was precisely on the wall on an otherwise nondescript cafe at night. I have a special bias towards maps, and as Jack very well knows, Time is an enigmatic fascination of mine. So I thank you all for your comments because they amalgamate these icons to which I am drawn to, the philosophical concepts behind them (i.e. Earth floating in the endless space....Time, which is an undefined variable (isn`t it Jack?), and the present and very physical existence while walking at night in a town, somewere, at ten past ten.... I again bow in respect and thanks for your comments. DG Link to comment
smooth 285 Posted June 11, 2019 Daniel I really like this image and with a little twist and fantasy I see "The Persistence of Memory" by Salvador Dali. Best regards Arthur Link to comment
