Very nice shot, Holger. You do better than most of us in capturing the environment in an interesting manner without romanticizing it at all.

Thank you Jack. I thought the composition lends itself to a tunnel vision type effect right to the fisherman, that he was" Alone at Last", my environment is near home so I'm lucky enough to be able to get to these type spots and hope for an opportunity to get an image like this. See you soon.........Holger

Wonderful shot and the title, Holger! Intresting composition reinforcing the idea this natural image. I guess fishing is one of the best ways to get away from reality for all time and peoples. Bravo! Sincerely, Tatiana

Hi Holger,

that's a beautiful picture. I like the perspective lines that lead the eye to the fisherman. By making good use of a wide angle focal length you have realized both engaging detail in the foreground and a vast and seemingly infinite background. The clouds are the crown on this photo. Well done! Kind regards, Vincent

Hello Laurent, Thanks for your comment, much appreciated. I am no fisherman but know many who are, and they're busy. I wish I could go out your way but you know how life is. See you soon.........Holger

Looks like the perfect day to throw out a line- or 2 in this guy's case- the ambience well caught.
