19th century industrial window

About ten years ago, I visited the 19th century salt works ('alte Saline') of Bad Reichenhall, Bavaria. I was fascinated by the details of the relatively simple facade of this building. Somehow these details seemed to represent the way people in this region treat their past; with a feeling for beautifully simple ornaments and a sense of their architectural history. The color contrast between the red bricks and the green leaves was an extra. The photo has been perspective corrected. Your comments are very welcome.

Simple, classic and beautifully photographed. You're one of the relatively few people here whose remarks are as interesting and eloquent as the pictures you post. If we had ten more like you what a stimulating place site this would be.

The window frame appears to be very thick so I would assume this is a well build structure. The condition of the window frame contrasts with the rather nice looking brick facade. It must of taken quite a bit of skill to match the brick to the arch in the window. The colors are very nice and the composition is perfect. A beautiful image, Vincent. Have a great day, Paul.
