DGorinstein 20 Posted March 27, 2019 Cher Laurent: Absolutment magnifique! An interesting way of separating time. A treasure that passes alongside and you grab a piece of it. DG Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted March 27, 2019 Daniel..Thank you for stopping on this one and for the generous observation.Caddys as this one are not common in this area and its journey to end up here in a salvage yard might be interesting. In any case, going by on a regular basis,I have seen it slowly disappear as winter took over and now as spring moves in,it is in the process of revealing itself and this stage of semi-buried offered a good photo opportunity.....and I just happened to have my camera!!!Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted March 27, 2019 I like the way this old 1960 Caddy just pops out from the largely white scene Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted March 27, 2019 Ken...Thank you for looking in and for liking this old guy in the snow which had melted down just enough to let it reveal its fine lines.Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
michaellinder 16,613 Posted March 29, 2019 Laurent, I'm guessing that this fine reminder of how Cadillac manufactured automobiles in 1960 (a guess) at one time may have been buried in snow. Your intro leads me to think that the beginning of the spring thaw in your area accounts for the visibility of most of this vehicle. The rough spots on its body reflect the abuse its taken, perhaps for quite a while. But, those tail fins and lenses . . . . . still spectacular!! - - My best, michael Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted March 30, 2019 Michael...Yes,a 1960 Caddy in the rare Bubble Top version;they were and still are spectacular although this one has suffered many canadian winters with its rusty body testifying to this. The melt is on as only a few weeks back,my shot of basically the same angle was showing but the tips of the wings....but we still have plenty on the ground...maybe 3 feet on average which will take at least another month before traces of winter are gone.Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
