setsail728 15 Posted February 24, 2019 The "geometrics" of this shot are just the best!!! All the lines and shapes produced by the actual objects and those fantastic shadows due to the fantastic angled light make for this truly marvelous shot. This one goes into my favorites file (circa 1975 was a good year!!) Link to comment
joe4peace 0 Posted February 25, 2019 It was just minutes before the sun would disappear for the day. Light was coming through sliding glass doors into the basement room Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted February 25, 2019 Oh those shadows, what spells they weave. Link to comment
DGorinstein 20 Posted February 25, 2019 Truly original, different, fresh. Masterful management of light and shadow, artistic, geometric, architectural, decorative and several other adjectives that fit this image well. No need to comment on the obvious protagonist, so cleverly presented. Bravo. DG Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted February 25, 2019 Hi Joe, nice to see more old B & W photos on PN! This is a beautiful play of shadows, photographed very well, with a wonderful composition, great tones and contrast. I like how the sunbeam makes small floor particles come to life. Right into my favorites! Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
joe4peace 0 Posted February 27, 2019 Vincent, I have photographs in the portfolio from 1973 right up to the present day.... Sometimes I wonder if the ones where I knew almost nothing about photography, except get the needle in the circle for correct exposure, aren't the best I have ever taken.. Makes a strong case for just seeing and not thinking the photo. Ignorant clarity... :-) Link to comment
