Ciao Gianluca: Congratulations on having been picked as an Editors' Choise. No doubt the photo is impressive. However, IMHO, the staircase is so special, as is the overall environment, that I would try, just try, to give it a more "natural" look by enhancing shadows and highlights. The post-processing seems a bit overdone, and with such a wonderful take, I honestly believe it is not necessary to make it stand out. I would stand out by itself. Again, with all due respect. I too try - sometimes - to "get something more of a photograph", but the photograph cannot give you what you are looking for....a philosophical reflection. Best regards. DG

Ciao Daniel, first of all many thanks for this interesting comment. I try always to give to the photo the mood that I would like someone looking at it would perceive. Of course the look is clearly not natural, but with the posto production I wanted to emphasize the mood of mystery that this stairs arose in me. Lights entering from the top and a inner light putting in evidence the stairs against the wall was my way to give this sensation. To me in general a picture is the starting point of a creative work.....! Gianluca
