hstelljes 41 Posted February 1, 2019 While in a boat going through narrow waterways in Cape May, I came across these two gulls perched on the sign. Your comments are always welcome, thanks for looking. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted February 1, 2019 Of course I view this with my Far Side sensibility and take it to mean just dig a hole and bury the bastard. Cruel, I know, but we have no time for niceties in the busy world. Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted February 2, 2019 Jack, I'm hysterically delighted with your take on this image. That has to be one of the best comments I have ever gotten in all these years on PN. And of course it will probably be the only. The waterway was narrow and shallow, so no boats were making waves to begin with and then I saw the sign and the gulls and it just struck me in a very funny way. I could not even have water in the image because it was so narrow. Thanks for the great comment Jack!! See you soon................Holger Link to comment
michaellinder 16,612 Posted February 2, 2019 Holger, Jack kinda stole my thunder (not totally ,though). When I first looked at this image, my thoughts centered on the oddity of the sign given the fact that a navigable waterway isn't visible anywhere. Nonetheless, it is implied by the masts poking up behind the gassy area. Good eye! And, Jack, I laughed my rear end off at your Far Side humor. - - My best always, michael Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted February 2, 2019 You hit it right on the head Michael the lack of water had me smiling when I saw this sign. Jacks comment took it to another level. Thanks for your visit and great comment. See you soon..............Holger Link to comment
setsail728 15 Posted February 3, 2019 Great Shot! Great timing. I wish there were more of those "wake police" hanging around my marina to stop the speeders! Link to comment
