I'm disappointed that this great image has no comments. It is a treasure of a find. Now....it is yet another thing that when you find a unique object, capture it, compose it and with these and many other technical elements produce an emotion, an inner, nonverbal reaction. Never mind recognition, prizes, awards...You have a PHOTOGRAPH (note capitals). It is YOURS, and it is special. Thank you for sharing it. There will be many that will pay no attention, pass over it....and others that will appreciate how this magnificent remain of the sea ended up on land, and patiently stay there for time to do its job in gradually decay it, until inevitable, Time will win the battle. I very much enjoy images like these, denoting your great sensibility, and silently conveying what you saw and how you clicked the shutter not only to preserve your awe but to preserve time, at a very specific cosmic period in Time on this Planet..... A rather philosophical diatribe, but your photograph inspired this in me. DG

Daniel, thanks for inspiring comments. I am glad you liked this image and it was more than a 5 second look for you. I know very little about the history behind this boat. It looks to have been here for a very long time. The boat is in marsh land, perhaps this was not marsh land 30, 40 or 50 years ago and it got stuck here during a storm or flood perhaps. perhaps the captain anchored the boat here as it's final resting place. I have been going through a lot of shots from past travels. I liked this particular photo too and decided to share it. As far as the lack of comments, it's nice to a a sincere one know and then. Perhaps activity will pick up on the critique forum. Thanks so much for taking the time to leave such a nice message. Cheers - Mark
