cyanatic 0 Posted July 25, 2018 Lovely light and decay here. Certainly deserves more views.... but that seems to be the way of things. Cheers! Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted July 25, 2018 you really are consistent in your vision. Your sensibility seems grounded in an earlier time when people were not quite as overwhelmed with the demands of modern life and had more time and inclination for just "being" rather than our current, incessant preoccupation with "doing". DGorinstein 20 Posted July 26, 2018 Hello Steve and Jack: So kind of you for your viewing and comments, I truly value yours and each and every comment I receive. It motivates me to see there is some resonance with a few fellow photographers. Jack: thanks as always for your constant presence, and knowing your through PN, I know you never make shallow comments, which along with people like Steve that view Photographs objectively and seriously, constitute the best "prize" I could receive. Therefore, I am honored and grateful for your comments. DG Link to comment
michaellinder 16,612 Posted July 29, 2018 " . . . there is some resonance with a few fellow photographers." Daniel, your work deserves much, much more than just some resonance. This image, among many others, is proof positive of your ability and artistry with a camera. Its tonalities create a mottled set of light on the building's surface. The presence of enough clearly delineated shadows also help to break up the highlights and brighter midtones. I have no doubt that the image would not have nearly as much impact if it were in full color. Finally, my bizarre sense of humor enabled me to spot something that has at least a little comic potential - the phrase, Donald House. - - My best always, michael Link to comment
