Another picture of blackwater falls in WV. This time I tried to open the shutter longer to add a water effect. Problem is, no tripod, so considering that, I think it came out pretty good. What do you think?

Basically I was trying something new to me, opening the shutter

longer to give the water a flowing(ghosting) effect, one problem, NO

TRIPOD! So i kindof rigged the camera to a tree branch and using

the neck strap was able to capture this image. So let me know what

you think of it. Any suggestions on how to keep the camera still

w/o a tripod. I know its very difficult. Thanks for looking,

please comment. Im still a newbie at photography and every comment

helps me learn.

This is a beautiful image. Done often, but your shot certainly does justice to the category. The falling water is done near perfectly. Excellent lighting - the area behind the falls is good black and undetailed. I would like to see a little more detail/variation on the surface of the flat water below, but the lighting can't be just right everywhere. Very nice work for w/o a tripod!

Looks real good for hand held shot. When you add a tripod to the equation on this type of shot you will have something very special. Happy shooting.
