My dear Daniel,

You have always seen how I love the soft and feminine aspects of imagery - and also how it effects the way I edit a composition. You also so often are 'in tune' with my soul and heart - I know I tend to wear it on my sleeve, but perhaps 'I wear' it in my compositions more, not only my words. I am so very humbled that you found it in your heart to dedicate this image to me - that my compositions have found a way to influence you in a way that when you wanted to publish this image - it brought me to your mind. I find it a to be a beautiful image - I do not know what kind of rose these are but they are exquisite. Their formation as they float close to the edge of the planter - almost remind me of myself. I tend to seek the safety of what I can touch - it might be a slight 'fear' but I like to think it is more of me wanting to be close to those who I am familiar with - feel safe with - perhaps those who are like-minded and long for the closeness of all that is beautiful..........those that gather together to Celebrate the 'beauty that is this life' - they are not shouting from the rooftops - they don't have to. They are just PRESENT - and speak in the words of 'leaf and flower'. This 'POETRY' that is this image is so LOVELY. Not only is it outstanding in Technique (your Focal Plane has allowed for distinct detail of each stamen) and the Quality of Light allows each one to 'whisper their truths'. I have always treasured your Friendship Daniel - but to think that any of my images influence you, especially during a night while the rain falls outside............while pondering just how you want to present this image, truly touches my heart in ways I cannot describe. Bless you my Friend, always, Gail

Hello dear Gale: Both your messages have been well and most welcomely received, resounding clearly. I have carefully read both of them, and are now safely stowed in the vault where valuable, worthwhile comments and opinions of fellow photographers are carefully archived. Especially those coming from photographers like you, that have shown me, or to put it another way, from whom I have learned and gain valuable insight. These words of yours, so painstakingly chosen have given my photography the dimension of communicating at another level, i.e. allowing me to understand a person through their work, as is your case. That is why I respectfully took the liberty of appreciating your work using my work as a non verbal means of saying "chapeaux" with a respectful reverence, in a way thanking the unintended teachings received, using a "common denominator" (flowers), just to highlight YOUR work. I found the excuse to underline and praise your trajectory, and truly happy I was able to modestly doing it. Again, with respect and best regards. Sincerely. DG
