jacek_raczy_ski 1 Posted June 10, 2018 This picture is intriguing and disturbing, everyone is running somewhere, even the clouds have adapted to people, only photographer stopped to take a picture ......... probably also for a little while. best regards, Jacek ...... Link to comment

michaellinder 16,612 Posted June 10, 2018 It's interesting to me that the woman in the foreground is the only person appearing to be in a hurry. Aside from people going from here to there, there's at one person who's adding more interest - the man who's involved with something in the truck bed. Finally, although the sign's third word is incomplete, (thanks to Google Translate), I have no idea why there would be a "no smoking" sign on a building's exterior. Great street capture. DGorinstein 20 Posted June 11, 2018 Hello dear friend: I actually "passed" on this image several times, until I had to investigate further....i.e. trying to read your mind as to why you pressed the shutter button right at this moment. The "unusual" (i.e. great) enigmatic moment is there: What is this woman doing, showing, complaining, arguing, showing off? In short, I like the superb sharpness and contrast and the highly dynamic environment, where, even in movement, one subject has the leading role! Bravo. DG Link to comment

cyanatic 0 Posted June 23, 2018 Good Lord, it is hard to get around this site anymore! I like this a lot, Jack, as well as a number of others that I have been able to view. I am so happy that you are still active, my friend! Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted June 24, 2018 Jacek, Ken, Michael, Daniel, Vlad, Nebojsa, Andrew, - Thanks for taking the time to comment on this picture. It was taken on my trip to Italy and is one of my recent favorites. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted June 24, 2018 Steve - It was a real surprise to find a comment from you on this picture. I've long considered you the king of the true street photographers on PN and the fact that you haven't been around - and a lot of the old guard as well - is one of my continuing disappointments. I've learned a hell of a lot from you over the years and it's good to know that you still might drop by from time to time. This site is a far cry from what we had before the sea change of a year and a half ago when so many of the veteran membership suddenly went extinct. I was extinct myself for almost six months, disgusted with the amateurish way the new version was put together, the clunky navigation, the slow response times and the exodus of some of the most creative and interactive embers with resulting drop in both views and comments on pictures. In the last couple of weeks it's gotten a little better. Drew Bayless has put up some photos recently, also my old friend Markku Salonen, Daniel Gorenstein, and a couple of others who have made cameo appearances. It gives me some small measure of hope since as low as PN has sunk, there doesn't seem to be anything better out there and at least I know some of the people here. I sure hope you'll post some of your recent work because I'd love to see what you've been doing.. Best Regards, Jack Link to comment
