FranzWeber 368 Posted May 3, 2018 Ilya, I think it's not a stork, it's a heron. Regards, Franz. Link to comment
Intrinsicate1 0 Posted May 3, 2018 This is a Great Blue Heron. Is the image cropped, or did you capture the whole bird? Magnificent bird! Link to comment
Ilya Burdman 0 Posted May 4, 2018 @Michael the image is cropped, but i did not capture the whole bird. Unfortunately, this was an opportunistic photo and i only captured that half. I cropped it down to make it more dramatic. Most of the right side of the photo is cropped out. I will also change the name of the photo. Thank you Franz and Michael for looking at it. Intrinsicate1 0 Posted May 4, 2018 [[show-photo-18471437]] Herons have a way of making unexpected appearances, and their wing span is so large that a telephoto lens’ angle of view is often too narrow to include the whole bird. I have developed the habit of zooming out, the moment I see a heron preparing to take flight. I never tire of photographing them. Good luck! Hope you post more pictures. Link to comment
