Mark Z 371 Posted April 21, 2018 Jack, it is really good to see some new stuff from you after your hiatus. This one is quite dramatic, with the man taking the stage in front of the edifice. Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted April 22, 2018 The light, the shadows and the direction all come together very nicely. Good timing on your part Jack...........................BR, Holger Link to comment
wieslawmamon 0 Posted April 22, 2018 A piece of street life in a chic and elegant composition. Perfect timing as Holger observes. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,613 Posted April 23, 2018 I too am impressed with the lighting, especially the dark area on the left. Perhaps its shape is what grabbed me, since otherwise there seems to be an absence of triangles. The empty bicycle rack is fascinating also. Perhaps it is symbolic of the area the image portrays not being overly safe. Finally, your click of the shutter allowed the man who is or is not earning his salary by walking has him stepping out of the dark. Perhaps things are looking up.- - My best always, michael Link to comment
warrenlloyd 0 Posted April 27, 2018 Great composition and light, really good shot. Have you tried converting the shot to b&w? Link to comment

smooth 285 Posted May 1, 2018 I've got a sense of Edward Hopper here. Just great in all simplicity. Link to comment
kristianmadsen 0 Posted July 2, 2018 Very well seen. Love the scenery with the salaryman facing the darkness/ the uncertainty, the dark area. Really high quality street photo! Link to comment
