The implied presence of a greater degree of sunlight would appear to penetrate the water at high tide, thereby explaining the algae bloom. Like one of your other images, Tony, this one compels me to explore in and around the foreground rocks, especially, to see if I could shoot some macros of the creatures that inhabit them as well the mud flats. The image's perspective fortunately gave me a front row seat, since I can only fantasize about such an exploration.
