Glowing Orchids

Your thoughts and comments are most welcome, thanks for looking. I finally upgraded to a full frame camera, and it's time to test it out. Settings for this were 50mm, ISO 250, ss 1/60 sec. and av f8.

Holger, congrats on the new instrument. It's a winner so far, as this image confirms. The colors and detail of the orchids are simply dazzling. Although they stand out in the foreground, perhaps a wider aperture would have resulted in less of the foliage (especially the stuff along the left side) being as prominent (just a thought, not a criticism). - - My best, michael

Michael thanks for your astute comment. Your right about the aperture, I had left the camera settings for landscape when I should have switched to aperture priority, but I liked the result anyway and thought I would share it. Thank you my friend, see you soon..........Holger
