Frankly, I just don't get this. A human eye as part of a n inhuman face?

I don't like this, but I will say the reflection in the eye is kind of interesting. Had the whole thing been a lot less obvious and unsightly, had the incongruity of it all seemed to have a purpose or at least a little more seamlessness, a photo built around that reflection might have had some potential.

Fred, your eye is keener than mine. The reflection indeed can hold one's interest, with the qualification that the viewer pays little attention to the rest of the image.

I find neither content nor form convincing enough to grab my attention here. Together with the title it seems a pretentious work, but what is supposed to have a strong emotional impact on the viewer by creating the dark atmosphere makes a nondescript impression instead. Needless to say, the reflection in the eye makes no difference at all.

Gold, but after the passages, damaged and scratched, the mask is a symbol of our times, it becomes an integral part of man, we are ashamed of our humanity. The mask becomes protection against the surrounding world, which we fear and from which we run. Interesting and food for thought ........
