hstelljes 41 Posted August 27, 2017 I like images of light coming through windows. A recent visit to family in NY and their log cabin. Your thoughts and comments are always welcome, thanks for looking. Link to comment

charo 3 Posted August 28, 2017 Hi Holger. This image is definitely interesting. I like the romantic atmosphere here. The light coming in through the window gives warmth to the image. However my eyes go directly to the rectangle of light, it seems that it has too much protagonism...... Kind Regards, Rosario. Link to comment

hstelljes 41 Posted August 28, 2017 Hi Rosario, Thank you so much for your very good and correct comment. In PP I tried to tone down the intensity but could not achieve the result I wanted without effecting the rest of the image. I am still a novice when it comes to pp, your honesty is well received. See you soon...................Holger Link to comment

gajbarker 0 Posted August 29, 2017 This image caught my attention immediately. You have captured a really interesting mood in this shot in the way the light has been handled. Congrats and best wishes. Link to comment

wolfgangarnold 142 Posted August 30, 2017 Tonality and atmosphere are indeed captured really well. The scene is revolving around the bag (which is a nice visual anchorpoint with it's dark tones, yet still clear details). I wonder how (or whether at all) the photo would work, if the bag had been placed in the middle of the bright patch on the bed. Link to comment

hstelljes 41 Posted August 30, 2017 Wolfgang thank you for that interesting and thought provoking comment. The bag placement had not occurred to me and it opens possibilities. Perhaps next time. Thanks again and see you soon..............Holger Link to comment

Jack McRitchie 150 Posted October 21, 2017 It's the bag left on the bed that injects just the right note of the personal to this picture. The bag's owner has stepped out for the moment but seems present even in absentia. It's a beautifully composed interior with a great range of tones. A difficult picture to shoot but one that you captured expertly Link to comment

andrzejp 9 Posted January 17, 2018 Hi Holger,I meant to comment on this photo, but I was not sure how to do it in a meaningful way. I finally found a quote that is a very good match.“In photography there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality.” Link to comment
