andrzejp 7 Posted August 23, 2017 Fascinating image. I Woolf like to know more about it's origins. Link to comment
Julie H 312 Posted August 29, 2017 This picture is just too indeterminate for me to really like it. It's eye-catching, but lacks any focus, to my eye. However, if I take just the slightest whiff of something interesting that I do get from it, and inflate that hint into what might have been, here's what I might be seeing: The two black things on either side remind me a little bit of bridled horses, which in turn reminds me of Roman or Greek paintings and sculptures where you see a servant standing in front of and trying desperately to control two magnificent plunging bridled steeds. In our case, here, however, we find, not horses, but machines, monstrous, looming and about to slingshot the man out of all control. Link to comment
John Stewart1 1 Posted August 30, 2017 Reminds me of the "Crazy Moving Art" by Jean Tinguely that I saw at the Amsterdam modern art museum (Stedilijk). The wall shadows were similar. Could it be a photo of an art exhibit? Link to comment
Zbigniew Tyburczy - ZT 6 Posted August 30, 2017 John, Thank You for a 'nice' comment... I wouldn't like to use any other words, This photo isn't any kind of' photo of an art exhibit' ZT, Link to comment
michaellinder 16,612 Posted August 30, 2017 I find the image intriguing, since it is in black and white, literally. The man appears to be holding on to a ring for dear life with one hand, while giving the "horns" sign with the other. Perhaps he's addressing a rally of University Texas fans. Many possible interpretations? Link to comment
