Thirst

Nice street composition. The balance of the gray tones are very well done. The contrast and the sharpness are perfect. It's an interesting composition which is dominated by the urban chaos. I confess that, at first, just I saw the cars and the construction between the trees. I understood the composition when I read the title (THIRST). Just as soon as I noticed that the story behind the photo is a boy, quenching thirst with Coca-Cola, after playing with a ball in the urban way. Very well done. However, some basic care to be observed in the compositions dominated by the urban chaos. One of care is to take advantage of the lead lines to provide greater depth of field to the frame, avoiding distracting subject observer of the composition. In my opinion, the shot should have been made a little more distant from the subject (the boy), including lead lines to direct the observer view to this subject. Note that the more stronger lead lines are behind the main action and distract the observer to the bottom (background) and to the right side of the composition that are negative areas in relation to the subject framed. The POV is excellent, but there is a predominance of negative areas in the composition. Tip: Control the chaos. Take advantage of the chaos to highlight the subject framed. Try a crop framing the boy and excluding negative areas to the right and to the bottom (background) of the composition. Congratulations. Roldao
