Looking for new models in the NYC metro area

Mouth looks funny. She's clearly uncomfortable with her shirt off. You can tell. What's that line behind her, on the wall? Why is she so close to the background? Why is the light so one-dimensional and soft? How about some backlight

 

On the other hand, her pose is good, with the right kind of angle to the camera.

 

Still, not a complete success.

I disagree. I like the tones on the wall, they compliment the image and help with the soft/femine feel. LOVE the tanlines :)

Feels vulnerable and soft to me. Maybe a little more directional light would help, but good job. Chris

Soft focus gives this photo a Playboy centerfold quality.

I don't think she looks uncomfortable at all, but I think she's too close to the wall. I like the softening effect

the crop is funny, like she's wearing pants and you wanted us to think she is nude. focus is way to soft, love the color, pose..ehhh ok, all in all just above avergae, nothing special, but it could have been, in my opinion anyway..regards

I had to look at this one for a while. It was somehow disconcerting at first. And, I now think it is the somewhat tense arms crossing her body, yet the expression shows a haughty sort of self-confidence that is sort of the "opposite" of the feeling invoked by her arms. The eyes are captivating, and Ivanna used them to advantage. I actually LOVE the soft shadowing, and the photographer always seems to be able to "break the mold" of so many nude photos that have all those "ethereal" shadows. Ivanna's direct approach and unusual ability to show a "real" side of the model, more often than not, grabs my attention. I love three things about Ivanna's work: 1)She knows how to provocate feelings in the viewer. 2) She is not afraid to slightly shock us. 3) The use of solid, cheerful lighting, thoughtful posing, and great models, all contribute to making me look...and that's the point, I think. I rate this high in both categories. I see that there is a disparity in ratings...you either love it or hate it. Well, that's probably good too.

This girl has cute written all over her.You'd just like to take her home.

 

isn't that funny, laurence, i never thought for a moment that "Ivanna" was female....

Nice nipples....other than that, no much going for this photo. Like someone else commented, she looks uncomfortable with this photo.

Douglas: Perhaps you are right? I thought it was a name for a woman, but hey, either way the stuff is refreshing. :-)
