johns racing photos 0 Posted November 6, 2003 Not your typical request for critique but I would like opinions of non-race fans non the less. In the general realm of photography I am but an amatuer compared to most on here. Helpfull suggestions (keeping in mind my subjects move at over 100mph and my postion is limited) are most anticipated. Link to comment
ericd 4 Posted November 6, 2003 Nice but the car is too centered. OK I know, it's not easy to compose with a moving object... Link to comment
paul_coleman 0 Posted November 6, 2003 I would agree the car is to centered. It should be to the right. But you did an amazing job capturing such a fast moving object. focus is crisp. You captured the feeling of speed very well. Link to comment
steve_oberholtzer 0 Posted November 6, 2003 boy that is a clean racer! Sharp, well exposed, but could have used more background blur to show speed. Technically excellent. Link to comment
witolda_maruszewska 0 Posted November 6, 2003 I like this - you've caught the car really well, even down to the left rear tyre biting into the surface. However, with pan shots, you really need to think about your framing i.e. you need to give the car space to either move into or move out of the frame. That way you can see that it is going somewhere or coming from somewhere. Other than that, everything else is spot on - well done! Link to comment
johns racing photos 0 Posted November 7, 2003 Thank you for your comments. Obviously, framing is something I could stand to work on. I can see the point of leaving room for the car to move. Again, thank you to everyone that commented. Link to comment
