Not Here 93 Posted April 4, 2017 We have a saying, perhaps you're not holding your mouth right. ;-). I'm at a loss, every server, provider, user seems to behave and/or have different experiences. Maybe it'll get fixed someday... Mike Edit: Ok, found out the break command only works in the "edit" box. You have to type your comment and then edit it to add break lines. Go figure! Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted April 5, 2017 MIKE.......We have a saying too "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" but no one seems to have told PN about that one :) My Sincere Thanks for your perseverance and help, much appreciated Alf Yayay! It worked! Link to comment
michaellinder 16,612 Posted April 28, 2017 Alf - - - I'm very late to the party! At the risk of repeating or paraphrasing one or more of the previous comments, I perceive a double mystery this image portrays. First, the trail through this forest has no perceptible beginning or end. As a result, we have no clue as to the traveler's starting point or destination. Secondly, the forest itself created a shelter for the traveler. (This may be a mystery only for me.) - - - This image is another example of how well you do with b&w work. Keep it coming! - - My best always, michael Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted April 28, 2017 MICHAEL Thank you so much for your thoughtful comments, much appreciated! Your take and perception of the image is most interesting! The trees you can see are part of a tree lined lane, there is no forest as such, just a line of trees on each side of the road. The trees do overhang the road to form the arch that you can see. But in actual fact the trees are spaced apart from each other by about 6 - 10 ft. though the perception changes due to the compression factor of the long focal length. Thanks once again Michael..........always good to hear from you! ............Best Regards ...Alf Link to comment
sarah_mcnulty 5 Posted May 25, 2017 Hi Alf, This is very impressive in a spooky way, great composition the way the tree limbs seem to lean and bear down on the solitary walker. Great choice to use B/W which emphasises the atmosphere and creates a story. Love it! Best wishes. Sarah. Link to comment
