no limit between sky and sea... just gray.. nice

I'm not a big fan of splitting the horizon right down the center of the frame. I thin the composition on this shot could be improved by including more of the foreground.

Max, a very nice image. I am not bothered by the dock being directly in the middle, one of the strengths here is symmetry. The boat and weeds in forground break the symmetry enough that I feel you have a very pleasing image. My only criticism is that the sky "bleeds" off the page, particularly in the top right hand corner. I tried the photo first with a narrow black border, then with a PS drop background. Either seems to bring out the scene to a greater extent. JMHO. Nice job!

Horizon appears to be upper third of image to me. Looks like the rule of thirds was followed. That said the image is very nice and I would never even have looked for the horizon if someone hadn't mentioned it being in the middle.

like this image. I like the symmetry of the reflection and its consequence, namely the boat and pier splitting the frame in half. If you had a person looking out from the upstairs patio, it would have been much stronger, not as desolate. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful tonal range - I like the detail in the shadow and even just barely some sort of horizon above the dock. Very clearly presented.
