Hi Leslie, this is a very well done seascape. I like the special quality of light, the stainless steel blue on the water and the sand is unique.

Thanks, Peter and Sam! It was an amazing morning where the pre-sunrise light held for just a few minutes--the wet sand was reflecting the high fog, which was tinged slightly pink by the color in the sky, and the sea was white with foam because a storm had just cleared. I'd never seen anything quite like it before--sometimes you just get lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time.

My oh my, Leslie . . . If ever I saw a photograph that exuded peace, tranquility, and the ethereal, this is it. I suspect this is due to its high-key character. The sand's quality, as you described it, gave me the impression that the surf is rolling onto a sheet of glass. If ever there was a stretch of beach at which I could spend some time just staring into space or writing some poetry, I think I found it. - - My best,

michael
