PeterKrenek 26 Posted March 25, 2017 Hi Leslie, this is a very well done seascape. I like the special quality of light, the stainless steel blue on the water and the sand is unique. Link to comment
Sam_Ryan1664884851 0 Posted March 26, 2017 Leslie, very zenlike. The muted tones and shapes work really well together. Sam Link to comment
Leslie Reid 5,227 Posted March 31, 2017 Thanks, Peter and Sam! It was an amazing morning where the pre-sunrise light held for just a few minutes--the wet sand was reflecting the high fog, which was tinged slightly pink by the color in the sky, and the sea was white with foam because a storm had just cleared. I'd never seen anything quite like it before--sometimes you just get lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,612 Posted April 25, 2017 My oh my, Leslie . . . If ever I saw a photograph that exuded peace, tranquility, and the ethereal, this is it. I suspect this is due to its high-key character. The sand's quality, as you described it, gave me the impression that the surf is rolling onto a sheet of glass. If ever there was a stretch of beach at which I could spend some time just staring into space or writing some poetry, I think I found it. - - My best, michael Link to comment
