ice cave

Beautiful photo--the sensation of iciness comes through loud and clear. I particularly like the blown-out light in the background--it gives the viewer a strong sense of being in the cave. The abstract patterns in the roof are stunning, and your handling of the tonal values in the walls and roof make the composition work beautifully. Is the blue color here pretty close to what you saw? Or was it a bit more toward the blue-green side of blue? Really nice!

I've been shooting in 2 icecaves like this one and found especially hard to deal with high contrasts. Those 2 persons solve the problem here.
