Not Here 93 Posted February 18, 2017 Holger: An excellent shot of this grand lady. We have one here that tours the Alabama River and, sad to say, I've only ridden it once. This makes me want to go again... Mike Link to comment

michaellinder 16,612 Posted February 19, 2017 Holger, before I read your narrative, I would have placed this fine old paddle wheeler in New Orleans, ready to sail northbound on the Mississippi. Tom's River is fortunate to have a vessel like this available for touring. But what really grabbed my attention about this image is the amazing set of reflections, which together constitute an odd geometry against the sky and trees. My best, michael Link to comment
People and their universe 0 Posted February 19, 2017 Holgers the reflection makes the image for me, it is splendid. Gorgeous river lady. Warm regards. Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted February 19, 2017 Michael thank you for the very good comment regarding this image. I'm currently reading a book called Life on the Mississippi and it's all about the river and the steamboats that traveled that waterway during the 1800's and the book made me recall this image....had to share. Thanks again. See you soon.....Holger Link to comment
