Holger. Looks a very interesting craft, full of character and history. Nice capture with good light, colours and composition, the reflection adds balance and more interest, very well taken. Best regards Ken.

Holger: An excellent shot of this grand lady. We have one here that tours the Alabama River and, sad to say, I've only ridden it once. This makes me want to go again... Mike

Holger, before I read your narrative, I would have placed this fine old paddle wheeler in New Orleans, ready to sail northbound on the Mississippi. Tom's River is fortunate to have a vessel like this available for touring. But what really grabbed my attention about this image is the amazing set of reflections, which together constitute an odd geometry against the sky and trees.

My best,

michael

Michael thank you for the very good comment regarding this image. I'm currently reading a book called Life on the Mississippi and it's all about the river and the steamboats that traveled that waterway during the 1800's and the book made me recall this image....had to share. Thanks again. See you soon.....Holger

Thanks for viewing my photo and commenting recently Holger. I have had a look at your recent ones and this stood out - great composition and reflection. The cloud also gives the photo nice detail. You have a very good portfolio!
