Simply Red

While walking in the nearby state park and wanting to test a new olympus lens (75mm f 1.8), came across these berries as some fog was setting in. All comments are welcome. Thanks for looking

Holger, Nice title. It's the simplicity of this image that makes it effective. I like the focus on the center cluster of berries. The outer ones blend into the bokeh. Thanks for your comment on my ice image. Larry

Thanks Larry, always a pleasure. I like the fog that was kind of hanging around in this, perhaps gave it some of that simplicity. See you soon......Holger

Defiantly less is more. Great image, simple but very effective. Like the composition, focus and bokeh. Very good, best regards Ken.

Hi Holger, you have found a bright subject on what looks like a dull day. An amazingly narrow depth of field, a fine test for your new lens.

Thanks for the comment on my latest effort.

The 75/1.8 on you micro 4/3 will behave like a 150/3.6 on a full frame. That's a great lens, but as you say, difficult. Probably have to keep to 1/200 second. best, j
