Hi Gail: I first visited your portfolio, without looking a the Photos of the Week. I passed it by....because I was not really looking. Then, going to the Photos of the Week, then I caught a glimpse of the pink reflection in the left background. Therein, IMHO lies the mastery and extreme sensibility of this otherwise trite image. Let me stress, it is not, by far trite. On the contrary! It denotes a heightened dexterity and profound knowledge of photography to capture such a  subtle, subjective, graciously inconspicuous reflection, which serves to highlight yet another plant, that one, not natural. Wow, I could go on and on. I rather spend some more time looking at this wonderful image than keep praising it, which I do!

Hi Gail,

That's a stunning picture!  I can almost feel the veins in the petals between my fingertips.   It is an absolutely gorgeous, completed image.

Best wishes,

Sans

There is a lot to admire about this image, apart from the more obvious aesthetic beauty, there has been a lot of work gone into this. The blending of the layers has been carried out seamlessly and the presentation is perfect.

Wonderful innovative creativity!

Best Regards

What catches my eye with this image, Gail are the creases of the flower and how nature paints the off-white color, The image itself is very pleasing to the eye and I might add also gentle and serene! Lovely work, my friend! Rob

thank you so much Emmanuel, so happy to hear that you enjoy this composition. I too love the area of white on the Poppy - the delicate folds of the flower are so beautiful to me. The bloom is so incredibly delicate, it really is a marvel of nature in my mind.
