Leslie Reid 5,225 Posted January 23, 2017 I think it's a plumed basilisk--nice find, and a nice photo with beautiful lighting. I wonder if it might be useful to crop just a bit higher to take attention away from the missing ankle at the bottom of the frame--it won't draw the eye as much if the viewer knows for sure that the cropping was intentional. The detail you captured on the skin and face is wonderful! Link to comment
Marvin 4 Posted January 24, 2017 Thanks Leslie.This lizard is able to run short distances across water using both its feet and tail for support. In Costa Rica, this has earned the plumed basilisk the nickname "Jesus Christ lizard". Link to comment
