I like the red balance and the idea that it gives of a hot and fast life that you can get through this narrow street, contrasting with this fellow in all his grey coldness leaving the scene realizing that this is not for him.

The man is leaving the scene.
Could he been suspended by the photographer?
Great image that evokes thoughts.

Jack,

I think this is one of your best.  Wonderful image with great composition, details & colors. The gentleman in front just adds to the scene.  Excellent image!! Take care, Patsy

Suspended - both in space and in time, due to the magician who wields the space-time suspension device (the photographer).  Or . . . photographic surgery, which enables the photographer to extract from this scene.  Either way, it's life - so ordinary, it's extraordinary.

PS Love the boxes hiding behind the plastic.

Yes, he is definitely the center of attention, but I also like the tile as well as the sheer richness of detail in the shopping area behind him--not to mention in the foreground.  The colors work well, too, I think.

this catched my left eye immediately by colours, and then the right one with that wary genleman. quite intriguingly, both hemisphers are then "guided" to the central part of photography, going back in time, to his past. a photography to be revisited.

A second later and he's out of there! Love that foot in the air. Almost feel like I could rewind this and watch it in reverse.

One of the best captures I've seen in a long, long time. The composition is marvelous, and the figure on the right was caught at the absolutely best moment. The sign on the left provides an eyecatching framework, and the image's depth is icing on the cake. Awesome, Jack!
