I love the idea! And you accomplished it very nicely indeed. The "string" could be a little bit narrower to seem more realistic, but that's not a big issue. I really like the colors, and I love your treatment of the foreground as a silhouette--that makes the moon-balloon seem to glow from within.

Very imaginative idea. The details of the moon, the colors of the sky, and the silhouette, all together make it a beautiful image.
