PeterKrenek 26 Posted January 5, 2017 A view from the observation tower at a nearby hill. That day, everything was covered in freezing fog that created wonderfulhoarfrost on the trees. However, at the elevation of the tower, I wasabove the fog in the lowlands and the trees were bathing in warmsunlight that started to partly melt the hoarfrost on the trees. Thenext day it was gone. Leslie Reid 5,234 Posted January 6, 2017 Another very beautiful image, Peter! I think it's wonderful as it is. If I were to want to experiment with something, though, it'd probably be to try to play up the differences between the foreground and background. In Lightroom, I might try adding a gradient part-way in from the bottom (and not touching the background) that would very slightly increase the clarity, contrast, and maybe the exposure (+1/4 stop?) just in the immediate foreground--all very slightly so as to be hardly noticeable. But that might be "gilding the lily"--it's very beautiful as is! Link to comment

sarah_mcnulty 5 Posted January 7, 2017 Hi Peter, this is beautifully captured and composed with wonderful subtle lighting on the snowy trees - The colours, fog and snow covered trees make for a great Winter scene! Best wishes. Sarah. Link to comment
