Tony Brandstetter 814 Posted January 4, 2017 Well done Peter, a super good lead in to our portrait of the tree, slightly covered landscape of snow adds a dramatic effect and captures our attention - Congrats for getting mine Link to comment
Leslie Reid 5,259 Posted January 4, 2017 Really nice. The subdued colors and relatively low contrast add to the chilliness of the scene (as though the ice were not enough), and I love the composition--utterly symmetrical in overall structure, utterly asymmetrical in the details that create the structure. There's something so engagingly whimsical about the positioning of the tree--I love it. Link to comment
PeterKrenek 26 Posted January 5, 2017 Larry, Tony, Leslie, George, Bob, thank you! This was my second try after almost a year to photograph the tree with hoarfrost. It was a cold, but a wonderfully calm day. I shall post more from the area later on. Happy new year to all of you! Link to comment
sarah_mcnulty 5 Posted January 5, 2017 Hi Peter, a very effective composition - the symmetry works really well and I love the whole seasonal look and colour palette. Great work! Best wishes. Sarah Link to comment
Giangiorgio Crisponi 498 Posted January 5, 2017 A very nice image well composed, all the lines converge the eye to the frost tree, the warm colors of the soil contrast with the icy enviroment , ciao Giangiorgio Link to comment
