I Have no clue what im doing. i just want to know others opinions ^_^

Interesting photo. I am not sure whether this is ice or salt or some other geological occurrance. I would like to know what it is. Greater depth of field to bring the foreground into focus or crop the immediate foreground out would help some, but I like the photo and will look at it later to see if you have explained what's going on here.

This was taken at yellowstone ntl park. They are sulfuric hotsprings, i believe ^_^
