I like this photo because of the interplay of the petals with the surface tension of the water. I wish that it was cropped closer to enhance or enlarge the effect, because that's a big part of the interest. As it is -- a small part of the photo -- it barely succeeds in drawing me in (although it did succeed). I think you might have tried to compenste (maybe?) by filling the rest of the frame with the darker abtract shapes. A very close crop of the plant (two flowers and the underwater stem) seems to work. Hope this helps.
