You never fail to disappoint, Alf.  Another great shot.  Love the dog and the ripples.  Also the reflection in the lake especially at the drop-off where the color changes to a darker blue.

Really well done.

Cheers..

Jerry

Thank you so much for your thoughtful response!

I have to say this was a really cool place to visit, the sight of the lake as you emerge from the low tunnel is quite breath-taking!

The inclusion of the man and dog was a last minute decision, swayed by the dog who started lapping at the water and causing the ripples you mentioned.

Cheers Jerry

Hi Alf, the details, depth and textures are wonderful, as are the colours, light and composition. For me it's one of those faultless images that you can just enjoy and wish to be there. Really great to have the addition of the man and his dog in this scene and I love the shape of the ripples the dog makes in the water. Lovely work. Best wishes. Sarah

Many Thanks for your thoughtful feedback!

It really is a magical place, something man made, but where nature has prevailed to re-take the area and heal the wound in the landscape.

Best Regards

Thank you for giving me more details of this shot - did  you have to traverse from that spot that I mentioned looked like a cave to get to where you took the image??

Yes! The cave like opening is in fact the tunnel that allows access to the quarry, then there is a ledge along the left that is easily accessed which allowed me to get in position for this shot!

Thank you for your interest it is always a pleasure to hear from you!
