Well, it's about time we got some new work from you. This picture kind of matches my present state of mind what with this bizarre election and all, as horrifyingly fascinating as any side-show freak show Lately I've been having second thoughts about the sanity of the human race and my own as well. Anyway,it's always good to see your work, Jeff; I certainly need the inspiration. All the best, Jack

It's a kitsch, kitsch, kitsch, kitsch world.

I like to remember how much amusement parks are and hope beyond hope that amusement parks are an escape from and not a representation of our reality. Some days it's hard to know.

Jack:  Not high art.  Just a snap at the NC State Fair.  The list of items that one can deep-fry is extensive.  Who knew?  And yes.  I will be glad when the election is over, although I think Pandora's box has been opened.

Alf:  The carnies were giving away these stuffed bananas, but no other fruit.  Odd.  I'm glad I didn't win anything.

Fred:  A bizarre afternoon.  The kids enjoyed themselves.  It's a once in a lifetime experience in that I'm never going to do it again.

Fairs have always been one of my favorite places to shoot. Wonderful places to capture the oddities that make us human and so interesting!

What kind of place is THIS? Frieddough (is that evel legal?), funnel cakes (do you ride a boat through it?) and walking bananas wearing sunglasses. Methinks we is no longer in Kansas.
