Jack_Maegli 1 Posted October 27, 2016 I tried to balance the bright window with the light it cast and model. Not sure if there is too much inconsequential material on the left. Link to comment
M_Lipakis 3 Posted October 27, 2016 You did a great job (again!) i think, everything in the perfect amount and place (light, color, body, shadows). Into my favorites Jack! Link to comment
Sandy Vongries 34,567 Posted October 27, 2016 Excellent as is, you could crop a bit from the left, it wouldn't make a great deal of difference. The light rays, composition, the skin tone perfect! Link to comment
villalobosleo 5 Posted October 28, 2016 fantastic composition + light, congrats !!!!! Link to comment
GerrySiegel 868 Posted October 28, 2016 An interesting effect of dark and light and shadow, Jack. I do wonder whether I would have let the drape hang by one hand and shown the model full length as that would have given more weight to offset the power of the window. Intriguing study this. alfbailey 4 Posted October 28, 2016 I do believe that the window light is special and this would make an excellent image even without the Nude. However it's inclusion takes it to yet another level! Excellent! Alf Link to comment
GerrySiegel 868 Posted November 7, 2016 The nude form with its alluring sculptural shadows of flesh and bone, gives the picture its haunting quality. So much dark and a sensual display- to match the sunlight. Better than more than 90% of nudes for originality. That chiaroscura contrast is what delivers the goods, Jack. Link to comment
reallife 1 Posted January 15, 2017 If anyone's not sure what is meant by the term 'tasteful art nude' take a look at this as an example. Link to comment

Jack McRitchie 150 Posted November 6, 2017 A truly artistic nude. Your use of available light is masterful. Link to comment
John Peri 1,038 Posted January 9, 2018 Alike so many other works in the portfolio, the central figure to the theme is perfectly balanced with the surroundings not only int terms of composition, but also in that of light, colour and contrast, thus ensuring the impact of the result. Th is is no east feat, especially with a live model, and it takes and it requires a great deal of knowledge mixed with intuition and good taste. Link to comment
