catherine_horey 0 Posted May 30, 2001 I would like all of the constructive criticism possible on this image. This was my first roll of b+w film ever and any advice or comments are appreciated. Link to comment
chjohnson 0 Posted May 30, 2001 Beautiful, soft image. The longer exposure effect worked nicely, but I particularly think that the perspective of the shot, taken from a higher position, is what really distinguishes this from the typical waterfalls shot. The only thing I can think of to improve the image... I would have tilted the camera down to crop out the sky. With B&W, a sky can be distracting unless it has texture (i.e., clouds) to it. Here it is a little distracting. Wonderful image, though. Link to comment
sandino 0 Posted May 30, 2001 Nice rendition of water movement. I agree with Carl (softness) but the photo looks a bit overexposed. Not bad to be from your first B&W roll. Link to comment
catherine_horey 0 Posted May 30, 2001 I really did want to tilt the camera down more to get rid of the sky, but at 24mm it really distorted the perspective of the waterfall. The camera was slightly pointed down here. Catherine Link to comment
jos__rodrigues 0 Posted June 27, 2001 Very nice effort this one. However i agree with Carl. A little more tilt would do wonders as previously explained. also i think the particular point of view does benefit from those plants on the lower right corner. Link to comment
fototakernandalucia 1 Posted March 6, 2019 Not too shabby for your very first roll of REAL film! Suspect the blurriness may be due to no tripod. Not impossible to do w/o a tripod but need to have a very steady hand. I suspect you have progressed on to a digital camera by this time. Thanks for sharing. Link to comment
