I beg to differ, Sir.  There does appear to be something of importance to the rider.  Otherwise, he would be looking straight ahead.  

 

When it comes to importance - the umbrella, not so much, except to me.  I ask myself why it's where it is and who put it there.  It apparently is important to you as well, given your predilection for things quirky.
