The fine gossamer like threads and illuminated vegetation make for an interesting image.

Very well done Holger!

Great capture, love the way that web is illuminated, nice use of the light and shade which shows the detail and colours so well. Best regards Ken.

I certainly cannot identify the creature(s) that spun this amazing web, but I am grateful to them for giving you a worthy subject to photograph.  You did a fine job capturing its detail as well as that of the tree.

That web is so thick and has such a downward flow that when I saw it in the thumbnails I initially thought it was a picture of a waterfall.

Holger,  A whole giant web by a genious spider architect... What an impressive tiny little insect and of course excellent shot!

I'm surprised and delighted at the comments and attention this image has drawn. First a big thanks to all for taking time to look and your kind and thoughtful comments. Jack we are on the same page, when I first walked by this amazing web I thought the same thing, it looked like a small waterfall cascading down a green hill. The thickness of this web was quite amazing. Thanks again to all, see you soon.

Thank you Mehmet for your visit and continued support.

Jamie you should have seen it before the crop. I liked the image but was annoyed with myself as to the larger blown out area, so I did what I could, thank you for your kind words dear friend.

Spider net is not an easy subject but very interesting to us always,I like green contrast n front for this one.

The foreground green color and clarity is very appealing. Like Jack, when i looked at the thumbnail, I also thought it was a waterfall.
