A face of Africa, a black diamond. My favorite portrait shot in Namibia,

from the Himba tribe. Thank you for your comments.

This is a very good shot. She seems open to being photographed by you and her gaze is very direct. You seem to have a way with both animals and people that invites closeness.

Hi Jack.  It is a shot,  the processing and composition. I tried  to get the whole  image  based  on the grey scale of black. And if  possible,  black only. The woman  has a shiny face, so,  the  highlight  was impossible  to  avoid  at the shooting. The  background  was dark fortunately. She  was posing for  other  photographers,  when in the end  I did some  fanny  movement a signal,  and she turned  to  me, relaxed,  when I triggered  the  camera  for a couple  of  shots.  Unfortunately,  the sun  was shining  very bright. The old Nikon 200 mm f/4 AI-S  lens did  a very good job too.

Thank you  for your  comments, Jack.
