A very beautiful image, and I admire the composition here very much! The colors of the sunlit trees against the shaded gray ridge are stunning, and the soft colors in the background and foreground set off the trees beautifully. The hints of the plough lines in the background also add a very nice texture, and the wheel lines in the lower left give us a nice path into the image. I'm noticing a faint grid-pattern artifact in the image--it shows up also on some of the photos that I have uploaded to photonet, and I have not yet figured out why it occurs. I'm beginning to think that I get it mostly when I have had to add a lot of sharpening to an image in Lightroom, and when I have exported it to one of the Nik plug-ins and back into Lightroom, but it has also happened in other situations. If I figure out where it comes from, I will send you a message, and if you figure it out first, it would be great if you would let me know.
