I agree. The lighting and mood are wonderful. If it was my image I would have stressed the formality of the setting a bit more, keeping it a bit straighter. But that's probably just the boring scientist in me. In any case, I love the mood and feel of the image.

I certainly agree with the previous comments.  I would add that there is a remarkable contrast between the dark tonality and texture of the chairs, table settings, and wall art and the bright tonality and delicate texture of the drapery.  In fact, you captured what possibly is the drape catching a slight breeze.

My best,

michael

The scene for me has all the quality of a film setting from "The Untouchables" The table awaits Elliot Ness and his men, or maybe even Al Capone : - )

Great light and atmosphere!

Best Regards

Beautiful photograph with exquisite lighting. One can feel that homely warmth around the table.  Probably a family restaurant.  Great shot!

It is the lighting and processing that draw me into this shot and my curiosity takes over.  An excellent shot taken in Cold Spring Farm Grange Restaurant in the Historic Cold Spring Village.  I have found your Cape may images so interesting and now learning about this place just adds to my growing interest and making it a 'for sure' spot to visit if we do come to Cape May in the future. I hope the weather from down South hasn't affected Cape May or you very much Holger!

Ricardo and Gail thanks for the great comments on this image. Gail, Cape may does indeed have some great things to do in and around the area and I'm sure you and your family would enjoy yourselves. And it's fantastic from a photographers point of view;-)
